Los Angeles to Host 2028 Olympics and Paralympics

A Historic Return to the City of Angels

The LA28 Games will mark Los Angeles' third time hosting the Olympic Games and the first time hosting the Paralympic Games.

The 2028 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad and commonly known as Los Angeles 2028 or LA28, is an upcoming international multi-sport event that will take place in Los Angeles, California, United States, from July 14 to August 5, 2028.

The LA28 Games will be the third time that Los Angeles has hosted the Summer Olympics, after 1932 and 1984. Los Angeles will also be the first city in the United States to host both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The LA28 Organizing Committee has released a custom emblem to celebrate the upcoming handover from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The emblem features the number 28 and the letters "LA" in blue, green, and gold. The colors represent the sky, the ocean, and the California sunshine.

The LA28 Games are expected to attract more than 10 million spectators and generate $10 billion in economic activity for the Los Angeles region.
