Devastating Thunderstorms Bring Widespread Damage and Tornadoes
Overnight Storms Continue to Threaten South With Severe Weather
Despite the subsiding tornado activity witnessed in the wake of Friday's devastating storms across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, the threat of severe weather persists as intense thunderstorms continue to batter the region.
The National Weather Service confirmed the formation of at least one tornado in Texas as the severe storms unleashed a barrage of torrential rain and damaging winds. As of Tuesday evening, a severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 2 am Wednesday for over a dozen counties.
At 5:34 pm, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Fort Worth, White Settlement, and Benbrook, expiring at 6:30 pm. Another severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for northern Tarrant and central Dallas Counties until 8:30 pm.
