Hamilton Overtakes Leclerc on Final Lap

Lewis Hamilton secured a thrilling victory at the 2021 British Grand Prix, overtaking Charles Leclerc on the final lap to claim his eighth win at Silverstone.

Hamilton started the race in second place but made a strong start and soon moved into the lead, only to lose it to Leclerc after a safety car restart. However, Hamilton kept the pressure on Leclerc and eventually made the decisive move on the final lap.

Leclerc finished second, with Valtteri Bottas taking the final podium spot. Max Verstappen finished fourth, ahead of Sergio Perez and Lando Norris.

The race was also notable for a major incident involving George Russell and Nicholas Latifi. The pair collided on the opening lap, with Russell's car flipping over and landing upside down. However, both drivers emerged from the crash uninjured.

Hamilton's victory extends his lead in the drivers' championship to 32 points over Verstappen. The next race on the calendar is the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 18.
