City Continues Their Dominance in European Competition
Manchester City delivered a stunning performance on Tuesday night, thrashing Real Madrid 4-0 in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie. The victory gives City a 5-1 aggregate win and sends them through to the semi-finals, where they will face Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain.
Bernardo Silva opened the scoring for City in the 12th minute, firing a brilliant shot into the bottom corner from outside the box. Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead just before half-time, finishing off a fine move by Kevin De Bruyne. Phil Foden then made it 3-0 in the second half with a stunning solo effort, dribbling past several Madrid defenders before slotting the ball into the net.
Riyad Mahrez added a fourth goal for City in the final minutes, sealing a dominant victory for the Premier League champions. Real Madrid were simply outplayed on the night, and City were deserved winners.
This is the second time in a row that City have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, and they will now be confident of going all the way and winning the competition for the first time.
